Creablend materials combine multiple polymers to achieve hybrid properties not available from any single resin. These blends can be compounded with specialty additives or reinforcements for enhanced end-use performance. Polycarbonate + Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene
Creablend PC/ABS blends combine the strength and heat resistance of PC with the flexibility and excellent processability of ABS. PC/ABS blends have a high heat distortion temperature and exhibit excellent low temperature toughness, making them ideal for parts exposed to a broad temperature range. These materials mold with ease, with low overall shrinkage and high dimensional stability.
Polycarbonate + Polybutylene terephthalate
Creablend PC/PBT blends deliver an excellent balance of mechanical performance and chemical resistance. The amorphous polycarbonate provides impact strength and heat resistance with excellent dimensional stability, while the crystalline polyester is responsible for the high flow properties and excellent chemical resistance. Creablend PC/PBT blends can be customized for further performance enhancements including UV stability, abrasion resistance, and flame retardance.
Polyamide + Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene
The properties of amorphous and semi-crystalline resins are combined with Creablend PA/ABS blends, to deliver the right balance of thermal performance, chemical resistance, and impact strength. These are high melt flow materials that exhibit excellent dimensional stability and are highly suited for housings used in small appliances and electronics.
Polypropylene + Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene
Creablend PP/ABS blends are suitable alternatives to both PP when improved toughness and heat resistance is needed, and to ABS, when cost is a factor. Polypropylene and ABS can be combined in various ratios to achieve varying levels of performance and cost, making these blends suitable for a wide variety of applications.
